Interview with Nurse Beth–the Nurses’ Nurse | The Change of Shift Podcast recap Ep 3

 Wow.  Just—WOW!

Nurse BethBeth Hawkes, MSN, RN-BC, HACP

A huge thank you to Nurse Beth for being our first guest on The Change of Shift Podcast. She set the standard for future shows with her professionalism and willingness to share her vision for nursing.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Beth, she became a blogger a year ago and is not only writing in her own corner of the nurse blogging universe at NurseCode.com, but is also a columnist at AllNurses.com (among other things).  Stolen from her bio:

Nurse Beth, MSN, RN-BC, HACP, has more than 25 years of experience in clinical and leadership positions. She has a passion for helping nurses, and as a professional writer has written several articles about interviewing, resumes, navigating the job search network, and much more. Nurses often gravitate to Beth to ask for advice and insight.

Beth has hundreds of followers due to her openness and way of writing which draws you in, making you realized that those professional struggles and fears aren’t yours alone.

Please follow Nurse Beth:

We would like to give a shout out to all of the nurses and those who love nurses—“The Stethoscope Incident” has led to an extensive outpouring of support for the profession. Now that we have a platform with #NursesUnite we would like to extend the voice to include other important heath related topics like vaccinations.  We are excited to see where this goes.

Thanks again to Beth and all of our live listeners on Blab.

Next week:  The Change of Shift Podcast | ep. 4:  Guest–TBD.

  1. I loved hearing this episode featuring Beth Hawkes, aka Nurse Beth and Ask Nurse Beth. Thanks for spotlighting her success and inspiring other nurses to consider other opportunities to share our knowledge outside of the clinical setting. I enjoy reading her blog and getting to know more about her through your podcast. The take home message I will never forget is the quote Beth shared about the Picasso painting as it relates to bloggers!
