In Episode 7 we interviewed veteran Nurse, Lisa Ford. She’s a postpartum nurse, moto-chick, mother-of-two, atheist and newly-minted MSN nursing student.

Were you aware that Lisa has close to 118K Twitter updates since she joined in 2009! She has an amazing presence on Twitter. It was relieving to see that her updates on Twitter were not just daily blow-by-blow ‘here’s what I’m doing now”, but real conversation.

We talked about her journey in our profession and her most recent adventure becoming a nursing student again in an online RN-MSN program where she’s pursuing her passion in Nursing Informatics.

She’s worked at the bedside, spent some time in management and now is currently working in postpartum nursing where she has truly found her calling.

She shared her passion for public breastfeeding as well as explain the hashtag #normalizebreastfeeding.

Oh and she’s also a Nurse Blogger! She blogs about her life’s journey over at ‘Godless Nurse’ with the tag line : “Random musings from a mom and skeptical nurse”.

You can find her on Twitter:  https://twitter.com/asthehosptuRNs

and her blog: https://godlessnurse.wordpress.com/

We cannot thank Lisa enough for being a guest on our Podcast. She has become an amazing role model and advocate for our profession.

Until next time, remember to always check your own pulse first!
