Change of Shift-NEW11 copy

I had the pleasure of interviewing Jon Haws RN CCRN, founder of We dive into Jon’s history before entering the profession, and of  course talk about his website and online community at

*Important note* : this interview was riddled with technical issues. My internet connection was not stable. This interview started and stopped three times, so I apologize ahead of time for the topic skipping. I did my best to weave it together seamlessly.

From Jon’s website:
Are you sick of professors that just read from powerpoints, administration that doesn’t seem to care, and being assigned to read 5,257 pages per night with little or no explanation on what you are actually learning?
I am an ICU nurse, Charge Nurse, preceptor, code team nurse, and mentor to nursing students and new nurses.  During nursing school I became to frustrated with the way nursing education was headed.
I am opening the playbook to nursing school and providing easy to understand materials, cheat sheets, and study tools to help you reach your goal of RN.
Some of’s impressive social media stats (at the time of the interview):
-Over 50,000 followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and  YouTube
-546,004 Podcast Downloads with over 85,000 downloads per month
-52,733 Blog Subscribers
 Here are the interview questions:
